We have the real pleasure of having collected the testimony of the Turkish athlete, Goksu Aslan.
This last interview is truly emblematic, Goksu Aslan currently is an athlete of ANMI, Milano, Italy.
She has been rowing for 22 years following her own motto “everywhere I row is my home”.
She has started rowing back in her high school days at Fenerbahce Sports Club in Istanbul, Turkiye. Then, she continued rowing when she moved to Europe, at Canottieri Irno of Salerno and Canottieri Thàlatta of Messina in Italy, and at Rudergesellschaft of Kiel, Germany.
She competed in several categories and became national champion in Turkiye and regional champion in Italy in various categories and boat classes including quadruple and single scull.
She also continues to row in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Denizciler Sports Club in Turkiye and holds several national titles. Since 2021, she has also been racing in beach sprint rowing.
She is a certified rowing and indoor rowing coach, national marathon record holder on the Concept2 Indoor rowing in Women 30-39, 11th in 2022 World Rowing Indoor Championships in Women 30-39, 25th in 2023 World Coastal Rowing Championships in coastal solo.
In her professional life, currently, she is a university teacher, teaching Economics and Statistics.
